Richard Eurich, RA - A Retrospective Exhibition

Cartwright Hall Gallery, Bradford District Museums and Galleries, Bradford (toured Glasgow, London, Southampton)

This huge retrospective of a hundred and twelve works was organised by Bradford City Museums and Galleries in association with The Fine Art Society and Southampton City Art Gallery. The marathon task of researching and curating the show was taken on by the assistant keeper of Fine Art at Bradford, Caroline Krzesinska.

Richard wrote a preface to the catalogue and Caroline presented a thorough overview of his working life in the Introduction. She also added informative notes to many of the works listed in the catalogue, often drawing from the correspondence and conversations she had with Richard.

The exhibition opened at Bradford City Art Gallery/Cartwright Hall in November 1979 and subsequently travelled to

  • The Fine Art Society, Glasgow (1 February to 29 February 1980)
  • The Fine Arts Society, London (10 March to 11 April 1980)
  • Southampton City Art Gallery (30 April to 1 June 1980).
