The Art of Richard Eurich
- Nicholas Usherwood from ‘The Edge of All the Land’ 1994Painted early in 1940 and not long before Eurich became an Official War Artist for the Admiralty, this bleak and wintry harbour scene (again an imagined place) seems to sum up the mood of anxious waiting of the phony war with a quiet intensity of feeling.
