Cliffs Through Mist

There is uncertainty whether or not this was painted by RE. The collector was told that a vetting committee for the Birmingham Art Fair had said the signature was wrong. Certainly we have never seen the monogram on another work by RE. The painting has shades of Turner about it. RE liked and was influenced by Turner. But there are questions about the paint etc. We are including the work in case someone can throw some light on it.
