Began painting of schooner with white ship behind. (14x12). (October 1936: sold for 10gns at Show)

Details from both sketches below seem to have been used in the final painting. However, the sketches are dated 1938 and the painting 1936.
The sketches are from a scrapbook album of sketches removed from their original sketchbooks. We suspect Richard added locations and dates in retrospect when he stuck them in the album, and just got his dates wrong.
