The Art of Richard Eurich
- REP-PBA small picture which feels as if it could be huge. It’s something to do with the empty tonal flatness of the beach itself which covers more than half the area of the painting. It is like an upright wall perhaps representing a feeling of estrangement between the lovers. They are wrapped in their own thoughts while the juxtaposed outside world carries on. There are some lovely touches of humour including the dignified back view of a dalmatian dog perched precariously, almost floating in the sky, a memory of Richard’s favourite dog, Grock.
