There is a 1962 entry in Richard's sales diary for a work the same size as 'Near Seaview, Isle of Wight' but titled 'Beach Scene'. He notes that 'Beach Scene' was shown at and sold from the 1962 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. The 22 x 61 cm size is so unusual that there is a very good chance that the two titles refer to the same painting, so we have merged the records for now.
