This is one of the drawings in RE's first solo show, at the Goupil Gallery in London in 1929, catalogue no.26, not to be confused with Nude Boy in a Bedroom (1928) which was bought by Sir Edward Marsh in an earlier exhibition.

In RE's copy of the Goupil show catalogue, he made a note about 'Nude Youth': " This was much admired by Christopher Wood."
