Started painting group of houses in front of Cobb flats, facing onto the harbour with boats in front, grey sea etc. (13x19) “I think this will have to be the last effort in the way of painting that I shall do here on the spot. It being the 40th done since 1st November 1932.In fact Richard didn't quite manage to stop painting:

Started painting long panel of boats up on the beach from my bedroom window (8x24)He packed all the paintings up and sent them by train to London on the 13th.
