- REPWe have attributed this image to one of the thirty nine drawings in Richard's first solo exhibition at the Goupil Gallery in 1929, Cat 32 'Head of a girl'.
The title 'Head of a girl' was attributed to another image some decades ago but we changed the attribution of that image to a more likely candidate also in the same sole show, cat 39 - Girl with Closed Eyes.
This has meant we have had no image for 'Head of a girl' for a while. It is hard to be certain, but we think that there is a very good chance that this work, which has came up for auction in July 2026, is the one listed in the 1929 exhibition.
