Goupil Gallery Salon

Goupil Gallery, London

Richard had work accepted into Goupil Gallery exhibitions before this one, but this salon is significant because it  immediately preceded his first solo show (of drawings) at the Goupil. It seems Eric Gill exhibited his stone carving 'The North Wind' (1929) in the same salon. Gill's visit to Richard a year before resulted in the director of the Goupil, Cicely Marchant, giving Richard a solo show.

Thank you to a Eurich owner for letting us know about this exhibition, previously missing in our records.
