Started painting of 3-masted ship for Children’s Exhibition (20”x24”). Ship ‘dressed’. Finished 28^th May. [The White Barque (1936)]

17th Jun 1936:

Euridice [sic] (started in tempera on temp:ground. Continued with Roberson’s Marble Medium (matt colours)) (20x40) Finished on 29^th June. Sold 35gns October

4th Jul 1936:

Mavis to holiday in Germany with Evelyn [Richard's sister] and Father until 25^th July. (3 weeks)
